Collections

Be it butterflies, gems, rocks, magnifying glasses, old miniature cars, or architectural pieces. This arsenal is great for styling a room.

Rugs

Is the rug too big? Does it have a stain? You can have it cut down to fit your space. They last forever, and they always have a story. They are resilient and can get cleaned.

Lamps

It’s easy to get them rewired or add a new shade that will transform them into a personal piece for the home. Art Deco, brass pharmaceutical industrial lamps, and a midcentury floor lamp can be infused into almost any decor.  

Chairs

Dining chairs can be pricey to buy in retail. The cost is much less than buying them brand new, and you get a unique, one-of-a-kind set of chairs.

Mirrors

Powder rooms, over dining room sideboards, or wall art. Mirrors can be a great way to change the look of a room.

Upholstered Furnishings

They go for pennies on the dollar at sales and are made much better than the upholstery we buy today. A Henredon sofa from the 1970s for $300 plus a  new fabric sets you back around $2000.  It’s Much less than buying a new couch. Whether it’s a  Louis XVI or other classic, or a modern piece like a Sardine table or Kagan sofa, they can be reupholstered or brought back to life, a real coup for the discrete shopper.

Vintage Clothes

Event wear like cocktail dresses and evening gowns are usually in great condition since they’ve been worn just a couple of times. Try to get a winter coat too. You can always have it tailored for a fraction of the cost of a new one.
